Environmental & Social Responsibility Policy

Adder has implemented a comprehensive social responsibility policy covering employment, working conditions, freedom of association and Health and Safety. This is supported by Adder’s social responsibility policy which can be found here.

Adder Technology’s CSR program is owned by the Quality and Compliance team and implemented by the Sourcing and Purchasing teams via our supplier assessment and review program. Suppliers are surveyed and reviewed annually for compliance with Adder Technology’s CSR policy.

Modern Slavery Act Transparency Statement

As a manufacturer of High-Tech IP KVM products that help provide for a connected society, Adder Technology is committed to supporting the UK governments Modern Slavery Act 2015. This is underpinned by Adder Technology’s Corporate Social Responsibility policy and program, with which Adder Technology requires all its supply chain operations and partners to abide by.

There is a risk of Sole Traders and SMEs in the UK is not complying with and clause 1 (4) (a) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 if a young family member or relative is inadvertently engaged in the business. This risk has been addressed in our supply chain by ensuring all supply chain partners are aware of and have agreed to abide by our Corporate Social Responsibility policy.

Adder Technology is a global organization with a manufacturing based in UK. All our recruitment is subject to methodical ‘right to work’ checks to protect against modern slavery and trafficking.

Counterfeit Materials

Adder Technology Ltd understands the concerns relating to Counterfeit components entering the supply chain and has implemented the following policy through all of our supply chain. More details can be found here.

Materials and components are sourced from a wide range of UK, EU and Asia based suppliers from Original equipment manufacturers or through authorized distribution channels.

CE Compliance

All Adder products comply with relevant EU CE marking and other product regulations including:

EMC (2014 / 35 / EU);
LVD (2014 / 30 / EU);
Eco Design (2009 / 125 / EC);
RoHS (2011 / 65 / EU amended by 2015 / 863 / EU); and 
The REACh Regulation (EC / 1907 / 2006),

and have been evaluated for compliance to relevant EN standards including but not limited to:

EN 55032:2015+A1:2020 EMC emission requirements;
EN 55035:2017+A11:2020 EMC immunity;
EN 62368-1:2014+A11:2017 information and communication technology equipment. Safety requirements;
EN 61000-3-2:2014 EMC emissions requirements;
EN 61000-3-3:2013+A2:2021 EMC voltage changes, fluctuations and flicker in public low-voltage supply systems; and
EN IEC 63000:2018 Assessment of EE with respect to RoHS.

UKCA Compliance

All Adder products comply with relevant UKCA marking and other product regulations including:

USA/CANADA

GLOBAL APPROVALS

Many of Adder’s products hold relevant global safety and EMC approvals including BIS (India), CCC (China), KC (S.Korea), RCM (Australia/New Zealand), BSMI (Taiwan ROC), PSE (Japan). Full details can be found on the product data sheet or by contacting Adder.

EU WEEE/Batteries/Packaging

Adder does not import or place on the EU Market EEE. Customers based in the EU are advised to check on their responsibilities with their local regulatory body to ensure they comply with the EU WEEE Directive (2012/19/EU) 

Adder Technology Ltd is registered in England for WEEE No. WEE/DF0324XQ. Please refer to Adder's Terms and Conditions of Sale for further details on B2B and Export/Import WEEE obligations.

Adder does not manufacture or distribute products containing Primary or Secondary, Domestic or Industrial batteries.

Adder complies fully with the EU Packaging Waste Directive and UK Packaging Waste Regulations including restrictions for heavy metals in packaging.

Adder does not manufacture or place on the UK market portable batteries. Some Adder products contain CR2032 Primary batteries sourced from UK producers. Customers established within the EU should check with their local regulatory authority to ensure they comply with the relevant producer responsibilities for their jurisdiction.

Conflict Minerals

‘Conflict Minerals’ refers to specific minerals originating from mines controlled by armed groups in the Democratic Republic of the Congo or adjoining countries such as Sudan, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Republic of Tanzania, Angola and the Central African Republic.

EU REACh (1907/2006/EC)

All Adder products comply with EU REACh regulations EC 1907/2006 and are considered as Articles within the definitions of Article 3.

Adder products do not contain any substances or mixtures intended for release and do not contain any SVHC’s in any concentration above the limits specified in Article 59 unless specifically stated in the product data sheet. Finally, Adder’s products do not contain any restricted substances according to Annex XVII nor any substances subject to Authorisation in Annex XIV.

The REACh Enforcement Regulations 2008 No, 2852 as amended by Statutory Instrument 2021 No. 904 All Adder products comply with The UK REACh Regulations and are considered as Articles within the definitions of Part 1.
